The Winchester high football team lost its first game of the season, falling to Wakefield 21-14 at Knowlton Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors battled back from a 14-6 deficit, taking the lead with 4:17 left in the game on a 1-yard carry by quarterback Michael Miller. Tim Mangano led the offense throwing for two touchdowns. He finished the day going 13 for 26 for 108 yards.
